About HMS

Hailey Madison Sebastian never saw herself on TV. Both in the obvious sense (since her parents never let her audition for Nickelodeon, no matter how hard she pleaded), but also because she noticed the lack of diversity in media and theater early on in her childhood. At age eleven, she watched a kids’ show where most the characters were white, and decided to do the only thing she could do at the time: she wrote fanfiction with a Filipino as the main character. Her fanfiction — which is still up, good luck finding it — got over 200k reads and an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from fans and cast members of the aforementioned show alike. At age twenty, Hailey Madison is still writing, although she doesn’t write fanfiction anymore (at least she doesn’t publish it). She is still an advocate for positive representation in theatre and media and appreciates the recent efforts made by executives to diversify a predominantly white
field. However, there’s no such thing as too much representation, and she still actively aims to create media that portrays BIPOC and LGBTQ+ people as the main characters, whether she is the star or writing their stories.

Hailey Madison has never been a discreet person, but she likes to keep her latest projects a secret until publication. However, if you’re nice enough, MAYBE she’ll let something slip. Maybe. She thinks meaningful connections are imperative to any lifestyle — whether you’re an artist or not — and if you’re reading this and think she’s cool, DM her at @haileymadisxn on all platforms. She will probably respond.
